Prop 8 Unconstitutional

Today, California Judge Vaughn Walker announced he is overturning Prop 8 on the basis it is unconstitutional.

Walker pointed out that negative stereotypes were used in campaigning and that the ban ultimately put same-sex couples on a less than equal platform to their straight counterparts.

The ruling is a big step in the right direction but opponents are already gearing up to appeal the decision in Supreme Court.
